Captain Matt helped us make a seamless delivery of our vessel on short notice - and did it all with ease and very little prep or guidance.  This made our transport from CT to NJ a breeze and his extra effort to take a few pics, and call from the journey while under way all gave us confidence that it was being handled right. Our captain was chill and engaging, sharing insights as we cruised past historic and luxury homes before stopping in a cove for paddleboarding and floats. Loved being able to BYO, and the cabin shower was a nice bonus after swimming. Fun, easy experience. Would absolutely recommend and book again!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a fantastic day with Captain Matt and Compass Charters. We booked a charter to celebrate our daughter’s birthday with family, and it was definitely a highlight of our summer.

Matt was wonderful — friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and fantastic with the kids. He made the whole day feel relaxed and effortless, and everyone--ages 5 to 75--had a great time. Swimming off the boat in Ziegler’s Cove is something we’ll remember fondly for years to come.

We will absolutely book with Matt again and couldn’t recommend Compass Charters more highly.

This was a spectacular experience and especially for my 5 year old grand-daughter who was fascinated with the lighthouse we got very close to and the trip along the coastline of Norwalk, Rowayton and parts of Darien as well as a trip down Five Mile River. Our Captain Chris was very knowledgable and provided some background on the refurbishing of the lighthouse off Bailey Beach. All five of us on the trip thought it was wonderful and will return for another excursion.

We explored various coves, harbors and visited a scenic lighthouse. Matt provided insights about various landmarks as we enjoyed drinks, snacks and a smooth ride. The boat was great - plenty of space, very comfortable throughout including the head. Our experience with Compass Charters was professional from the initial booking all the way to the final docking. Compass Charters is proud to offer several types of private boat charters, all staffed with a professional, licensed Captain. We offer 2 hour Sunsets, and hourly charters for 3 or more hours, 7 days a week in season.

Sailing from historic Norwalk, CT; Compass Charters is located right in the heart of Fairfield County. The Norwalk Islands, Norwalk Harbor and downtown Norwalk, sometimes referred to as SoNo, Norwalk first appeared on maps in 1614! Norwalk is sheltered by many barrier islands making it an ideal protected waterway offering a wide variety of boating. Inside of Norwalk's islands, you'll see dozens of active oyster beds tended by Copps Island Oyster Co.

We're now offering paddleboard rentals at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT. Our paddleboard rentals are available fri-sunday online. If you're looking for mid-week, please contact Captain Matt at 475-666-0696
